Hunters Green is a neighborhood in the New Tampa district, inside Tampa city limits. It is bounded by Cross Creek Boulevard to the north, Highland Oak Drive to the east and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard to the west, and was fully established by 1991. The 2010 census counted 5,056 residents in 1,853 households.
The Hunter's Green Community Association describes 23 enclaves, 43 lakes and 65 acres of protected wetlands behind 24/7 manned gates. Community amenities include bike lanes, playgrounds, lighted courts and fields, a jogging trail with a 15-station exercise circuit and an off-leash dog park. Flatwoods Park, next door, has a 7-mile loop.
HOA, enclave and club costs
Expect up to three separate costs:
- Master association: Hunter's Green Community Association, Inc., which covers the gates and common amenities.
- Enclave association: many enclaves have their own association and fee on top of the master fee.
- Country club: Hunter's Green Country Club, with an 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed course and a tennis and athletic center, requires a separate membership.
