Where Audubon Park is
The City of Orlando places the Audubon Park Garden District between Winter Park, Leu Gardens and downtown Orlando. Baldwin Park borders it to the east. The wider area was once part of the military land that included the Orlando Naval Training Center, which is now Baldwin Park.
Leu Gardens, at 1920 North Forest Avenue, is a city-owned botanical garden of about 50 acres, open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except December 25.
The Audubon Park Garden District
The Garden District is one of the City of Orlando's Main Street districts, run by a nonprofit with its own executive director. The city says it has won the Great American Main Street Award and was Orlando's first Certified Wildlife Habitat Community. The district itself calls the area Orlando's first EcoDistrict.
Its anchor is East End Market at 3201 Corrine Drive, a two-story market with local restaurants, food makers and small shops, plus event space. The district runs events most weeks of the year, including markets, wine walks, art shows and garden tours.
