What Mizner Park is
Mizner Park is a Mediterranean Revival town center in downtown Boca Raton, named after architect Addison Mizner. It opened on January 11, 1991, on the site of the former Boca Raton Mall. The city's Community Redevelopment Agency led the project, backed by a voter-approved referendum for infrastructure spending and bond financing.
The north end holds a city-owned amphitheater of about 3,500 seats and the Boca Raton Museum of Art, which sits on city-owned land. The rest is shops and restaurants, with apartments on the upper floors.
